Oh, how I love Autumn! The colors of the leaves, the crispness in the air, the wonderful taste and smells of baked goods, and much more. I also love to diffuse essential oils in my diffuser that brings the scents of Autumn to my home such as clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange. Some companies even have some seasonal oils already blended that you can choose. Just a few drops and your house will smell fantastic.
Speaking of baked goods, did you know you can cook with most essential oils? Make sure you choose a reputable company and splurge for organic essential oils. Below I have included a healthy and delicious recipes with some alternatives to fit your need.
Autumn Bread
2 cups flour(use your favorite cup for cup gluten-free, or sprouted bread flour)
1 1/2 tsp. Aluminum-free baking powder
2/3 cup coconut sugar or maple syrup
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted coconut oil or butter
1 can of pumpkin, or 1 ¾ cup of cooked sweet potatoes or even butternut squash
1 drop cinnamon EO
1 drop clove EO
1 drop nutmeg EO
1 ½ tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 c of raisins, dried cranberries, or even chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Mix dry ingredients together before adding the rest.
Mix well.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes
