After starting off with 500,000 women, the Ms. Health & Fitness Competition—put on by Hers magazine—is down to only 84 women. The best part? A Nashville local is one of the last women standing.
According to an article, on the Tennessean, Spring Hill resident Katie Roberts is “the leading vote-getter at the time of publication in Group 11. Of the 12 semifinal groups, the person in first place advances to the finals.”
Participants advance through each round via votes. Voters are allowed one free vote a day or a “warrior vote,” where $1 equals one vote to support their chosen participant.
Roberts has had a number of medical issues, including stage four kidney disease, endometriosis and postpartum anxiety. Despite that, the Spring Hill resident hopes to inspire others and show that people aren’t defined by those obstacles.
Semifinal voting ends on Thursday at 10 p.m. CST, so get your vote in while you can!
The overall winner gets a two-page spread in the magazine and a $20,000 reward. Go Katie!
