Laura Lea & A Couple of Cooks Book Signing

By H&W on 14th May 2018

On May 12th White’s Mercantile hosted two knowledgeable healthy chefs who focus on recipes for fresh, easy meals, that could not be more colorful and beautiful. Laura Lea and A Couple Cooks joined forces for a delicious and nutritious book signing of their new books at White’s Mercantile in 12 South. Laura Lea from Nashville has run the thriving blog Laura Lea Balanced and just released her cookbook The Laura Lea Balanced Cookbook, which features 120+ everyday healthy recipes. Laura said her favorite recipe from her new book would have to be “veggie burgers for savory, and my black bean brownies for something sweet”.

Sonja and Alex Overhiser, the San Franciscon chefs behind A Couple of Cooks teamed up with Laura Lea after meeting her through Green Bean Delivery and working with a mutual friend. The couple, Sonja and Alex Overhiser, have been cooking up a storm for their book Pretty Simple Cooking. They both agreed their “Bliss Bites” are a go-to!
