Crossroads and Mod Squad Mutt are inspiring hope and promoting positive change by providing young people in our community with opportunities to create better futures and helping abandoned animals find their forever homes.
Crossroads is a Nashville nonprofit which uses the healing power of the human-animal bond to help people and animals in need through three innovative programs. Crossroads Caring Connections is a humane education outreach program which teaches compassion and respect for all living things to youth of all ages. Crossroads Pets – Shop & Adopt is a pet retail store in historic Germantown which offers quality products and on-site grooming services to support pet adoptions and job training. The Crossroads Campus residential program provides affordable housing, paid job training and support for young adults who are working to overcome poverty, or time in the foster care system.
Mod Squad Mutt was started by Melissa Ann Barton to create quality goods that give back. Her gourmet Dog Gone Good Dog Treats, made from just 6 healthy ingredients and baked in Nashville, are sold at Crossroads Pets, local retail outlets including Two Old Hippies, White’s Mercantile and others, and can also be purchased at ModSquadMutt.com. Mod Squad Mutt provides paid job training, and a path to sustainable careers for the young people of Crossroads Campus who bake and package their Dog Gone Good Dog Treats with love.
