1) Tailgate Brewery – Yappy Hour
Location: West Nashville
On the first Wednesday of every month, Tailgate Brewery holds their yappy hour! For dog owners and dog lovers, this combines two of America’s favorite things: man’s best friend and beer. Here you can drink with your friends, and your dog can drink with their friends. It’s a great environment and a monthly event that is worth the hype!
2) Shelby Dog Park
Location: East Nashville
It’s tough living in a city with a dog. Most of us live in apartments and our dogs can’t get all the running around they really deserve. Shelby dog park is always bustling with dogs and east Nashvillians looking to enjoy the sun and some puppy playtime. Located near great restaurants and bars with patios, it’s great to bring a friend and make a day out of it.
3) East Nashville Beer Works
Location: East Nashville
Brews and dogs go hand in hand here. With a motto like “beer is community,” you know you are in for a good time. Their large outdoor patio, dog-friendly entrance, and water bowls galore will make your furry friend feel right at home. You can kick back and enjoy a delicious pint of Miro Miel and one of their unique pizzas.
4) Beaman Hiking Trails
Location: Ashland City
Located just 20 minutes outside of Nashville Beaman is a hidden gem that nobody seems to know about. It’s just far enough out of the city you can’t even hear the interstate, so you will feel Worlds away. You’ll see lots of fellow hikers with their dogs trotting along next to them. There are several trails varying in length from 1.5 to 4 miles, making it perfect for everyone!
5) Fido
Location: Hillsboro Village
From the name, you would think it has to be dog-friendly. Well, don’t worry fido can join you on the patio for a coffee and a delicious breakfast! Fido hosts a wide assortment on their menu with everything from delicious scramblers in the morning to one of Nashville’s favorite burgers. After being voted best place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner by the Nashville Scene it’s a patio you should check out soon!
6) Centennial Dog Park
Location: West End
Have a small dog that is scared of big dogs? Or a big dog who is a little too rough? This dog park located in the heart of Nashville at Centennial Park and has two separate areas for big dogs and little dogs making it ideal for everyone. On top of convenient location, the park is large and shaded by trees, making it bearable even on those hot summer days. So prep the next play date and meet at Centennial Dog Park.
7) The Donut and the Dog
Location: Hillsboro Village
This place already sounds dog-friendly! The Donut and the Dog are exactly what it sounds like: it’s a restaurant featuring hot dogs and donuts. Weird combination maybe? Delicious combination, yes! Go around the world with hot dogs with everything a “Banh Mi” hot dog to an “Elote Loco” hotdog. So check out their patio this summer and maybe even get a hot dog for your hot dog.
8) Pomodoro East
Location: East Nashville
This great Italian joint includes a combination of delicious Italian classics, pizzas, small plates, and delicious cocktails. Their sprawling patio makes it the perfect place to meet up with friends and their dogs! All the servers are incredibly friendly and always excited to see a furry friend, they may even slide your pup some mozzarella (don’t worry they’ll ask!).
Living in a city can be so hard with a dog. You want to take them everywhere and make sure they get all the exercise they need. With these great dog-friendly spots you can do so much and never leave your pup at home again!
