Finding the perfect date night spot can be tricky. With new bars and restaurants popping up every weekend and events coming to town non-stop; it should be easy to find something to do. But alas, there is still so much pressure to have the perfect romantic evening. Veronica Williams offers some advice based on personal experience!
“Bing!” it’s the ping of your dating app going off, you have a new match. Oh and there’s a message to accompany it. The first date can be intimidating, it’s the one that sets the tone. You want it to be fun but just easy going enough it gets the conversation flowing.
Don’t worry though, I’ve been on loads of dates and done my research. From art to absinthe these are the perfect date night spots in Nashville.
1. Frist Art Musem
May seem a little cliche taking your new love interest to an art museum but with new exhibits every month the Frist is sure to have something interesting. Besides, art sparks conversation! Really get into the nitty-gritty and pick your date’s brain.
Now until February 18th, they are even hosting a special exhibit “Live, Love, & Marriage Chests in Renaissance Italy,” what better way to get in the mood than throwing yourself in whirlwind Italian romance, just like Romeo and Juliet?
2. Pinewood Social
Bowl, booze, and brunch all at one spot. If you are looking for a date night that has all of the activities in one place, Pinewood Social is your spot. It’s also great for meeting someone for the first time. It features a restaurant, a bar, a bowling alley, and even a pool in the summer. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; so they are here for your earliest or latest of dates.
3. Love Circle
It wouldn’t be a true Nashville date night list if we didn’t include the one spot where everyone has had at least one romantic moment at. Love Circle is a road that leads up to a hill that conveniently sits at the top of Nashville so for just a few minutes you can feel like you are on top of the city. As you overlook the city lights you may just want to stay until morning to catch the sun peak over the Batman building.
4. Two Ten Jack
Looking for some adventurous cocktails and may be interested in giving chicken hearts a try? Two Ten Jack makes for a great first date night spot. 7. Folk
Everyone loves pizza, but it may not always be the most romantic option for date night. However, Folk’s wood brick oven pizzas, a collection of small plates, extensive wine menu, and delicious craft cocktails make this pizza perfect for your date night.
Started by the owners of Rolf & Daughter they brought their expertise on Italian food to Nashville giving us surprising dishes every time. If you are looking for a pizza to try, you shouldn’t pass up on their clam pizza, interesting I know, but it works every time!
8. Olive & Sinclair
I don’t know about you but most days I would prefer to skip dinner altogether and go straight for dessert. Every Saturday in East Nashville they hold tours of their factory, find out just how your favorite cocoa treats are made.
9. The Green Hour

10. L.A. Jackson
At the top of the Thompson Hotel, you’ll find the perfect rooftop bar in The Gulch with views of the city that will make you remember why you love it. This art deco-inspired bar is something out of a Hollywood movie. You walk into a large sprawling bar right in front of open doors that lead to a lively but comfortable rooftop patio. This is one date night that will keep the conversation going until the last call.
